One of the amenities our guests appreciate is the unique charm of our cabins. Eight rustic, cozy cabins are nestled amidst towering stands of northern Minnesota’s red and white pine on a ridge above Lake Gegoka, accommodating anywhere from 2-10 people.
While the cabins have been updated, several are genuine log cabins from the 1920’s and others are a mix of log and frame construction with knotty pine paneling. Each cabin is unique, but they all have in common the fact that they were constructed in the 1920’s and possess a charm that is hard to find today.
They speak of a time when things were much simpler and as such, our guests find the cabins add yet another dimension to the experience of “getting away from it all” to this rustic, quiet setting in a remote part of the forest. Our cabins are gas heated and are warm and cozy, the perfect place to settle into after a day on the cross country ski and snowshoe trails. Refer to the layouts below for more specific information. Cabins are served by a central bath and shower house as they do not have running water. A men’s and women’s side each offer sinks, showers and toilets. A coin laundry is also available. Drinking water is provided in the cabins. Some of the cabins offer porta-potties for nighttime use.
We also have a beautiful, fully modern log home offering a panoramic view of Lake Gegoka. The log home features 4 bedrooms, a sleeping loft, 2 full bathrooms, hardwood floors with in-floor radiant heat, gas fireplace, full kitchen and a laundry. It sleeps 6-10 people with a minimum of 6 required. Meals in the lodge are included in the price.
